More about Dr. Derek Rodeback

Derek Rodeback completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah earning a bachelors degree in Public Health. He continued his education at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.  Accolades while in medical school include being invited into the Honor Society Sigma Sigma Phi. He also graduated in the top 10% in his class. He had his first child during his second year of medical school and then his next child in his intern year of residency in Pueblo Colorado. Residency was finished in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Loma Linda University in Southern California where he had his youngest daughter.  While in residency he began attending conferences for regenerative medicine which was not taught in the residency program. He brought what he learned in  regenerative medicine back to his Loma Linda program and was asked to help teach regenerative medicine to his peers in the program. Once graduated Dr. Rodeback continued his learning and practice in regenerative medicine working with some of the best regenerative specialists in the nation for 5 years until he chose to open and provide this medical experience to those in southern Utah, where he could be closer to family.

Dr. Rodeback remains thrilled to begin practicing here in Southern Utah. Opening the clinic here has been a plan that developed over many years. Regenerative medicine has been growing and improving over the last few decades. Frequently the ideas that started as something kind of crazy have turned into some the most effective treatments for improving pain and injury. Dr. Rodeback has learned regenerative medicine from many of the pioneers who started the field and enjoys the benefit of learning what worked and what has not worked as well over the last few decades. Many people feel that regenerative medicine is untested or unproven and for some treatment modalities this is not untrue, but the treatments such as platelet rich plasma and prolotherapy have over 20 years of evidence. The evidence has demonstrated overwhelmingly to be beneficial with almost no harm associated with treatments.
